How to Install a Car Starter

1.Disconnect the battery before beginning any work.

2.Raise and support the vehicle safely with a jack and jack stands if necessary.

3.Locate the starter motor on your vehicle.

4.Disconnect all electrical wiring connected to the starter solenoid.

5.Remove the starter mounting bolts, then take out the old starter.

6.Compare the new starter with the factory unit to confirm a match, then slide the new starter into position.

7.Install and tighten the starter mounting bolts securely.

8.Reattach all electrical wiring to the starter solenoid.

9.Reconnect the vehicle battery.

10.Start the vehicle and listen for normal operation to verify the starter is working properly.

11.Make sure battery terminals are clean and tightly secured; charge the battery if needed.

12.Confirm that the starter solenoid is not faulty and is functioning correctly.
